Day of the Dead!

Hello everyone! I've been working on this "Day of the Dead" quilt for the past few days, and i haven't pieced a quilt for a really long time, so im pretty happy about this! What do you think?

It's Party Time!

Last weekend, just on a whim, i decided to invite some of the quilting girls over for a party! And in a moment of weakness, we invited our husbands as well. We ate classic Memorial Day food: cheeseburgers, fruit-kabobs, potato salad, and strawberry shortcake! The highlight of the party was when Mr. OneWildStitch made his famous pomegranite martinis! The lowlight was when we had to move the party inside because of 50 mph winds! My daughter helped make some of the decorations, and the ones she didnt make i got at the Dollar Store! It was such a fun party and we all had such a great time! Pictures are below!

Traveling is fun, sort of...

Hey everyone! Sorry i have not posted for a few weeks. I traveled 2 weeks back to back and am finally home and ready to resume working on my quilts! I was at HMQS in Salt Lake City, Utah. We traveled with the Innova team. We didnt get to see everything because we were so busy working at our booth. I had a great time catching up with friends and family, but im glad to be home! When i got home on Sunday, i only had a few hours to relax before i had to work in the shop on Monday, and then on Tuesday i went to MQS in Overland Park, Kansas. We were there purely as spectators! I took 6 classes and by far my favorite was Gina Perks on her background fills. My friend Charlotte and i also got certified to teach Pam Clark's design with lines technique. This week looks to be a little more quiet, and we'll have lots of photos next week!

WINNING!

This quilt has an interesting story. It was designed by my friend Charlotte, and it was pieced by Carroll Lee Charm and Karen. And it was quilted by me!!! AND IT GOT A FIRST PLACE RIBBON!

Quilt Show!

The Gems of the Desert sponsored by the Dixie Quit guild had their quilt show this Easter weekend! I was the co-chair along with Charlotte and Rosemary. We had 2 full years to plan this show! The funnest thing about planning this show was getting to know so many of the quilt guild ladies! I was in charge of the quilt boutique for the guild. Here are some photos of the magic we created!

And a big shoutout to all the ladies who help put this together!

Big Blue Whale!

Here are some better pictures of the quilt we posted about a little while ago. Let me know what you think!

One finished, one to go!

Hey everyone! I haven't had a lot of time for blogging. And you'll see why when i show you the pictures of the projects i've been working on for the past several weeks. I'm so glad to have the blue one finished, i feel like a giant monkey has been lifted off my back! I'm still working on this rainbow one for the quilt show and will hopefully have it done soon!

Highlights from Road to California!

Hey everyone! I'm back from Road to California, it was amazing! I'm busy working hard today and only have a few minutes to post. Anyways, the weather in Cali was fantastic and the show was unbelievable!! I traveled with my friend Char and we had a blast! We worked in the Innova booth, and we had a lot of long hours but it was really fun! The quilts were the highlights from our trip for us, we would go early just so we could snap more pictures of them!! We were both delighted at how we traveled together. The worst thing that happened was in the Las Vegas airport when we were going to the show, i had to go through the x-ray machine, and after i went through they told me i had to go have a Body Search in the private room, where its pretty much a full body pat down. Then you have to lift up your shirt and they feel the inside of your waistband of your pants, i asked him what the heck they were looking for and they said the x-ray showed something in my groin area.. and i laughed and told them there was nothing in my groin area except a couple of old lady ovaries that dont even work anymore, but they didnt even crack a smile. But other than that we had a fantastic time!

Happy Sunday!

Hey everyone! Today me and my daughter are arranging some flowers to sell at the quilt show and i thought you might like to see what we've been working on! Arranging flowers brings me back to my roots, my daddy owned a flower shop for 35 years! And i've worked at too many to count! Happy Sunday!

NEW QUILTS!

I have some quilts to show you guys! I just finished these and thought you might enjoy some pics!

This one supposedly has "birds" on it. They were all hand pieced by my customer!

I love this one! All the fun colors and designs are what makes it look unique!

When i first saw this quilt, it looked hideous. I had to really work my magic to make it look nice. I think i did a pretty good job!

Hello Again!

Wow i haven't posted for quite a while! My computer was down again, it's got issues. Since i haven't posted for a while this might be a pretty long post. Okay, i'll start with Christmas! Me and my boyfriend (of 45 years) went to a resort in California called Palm Springs! It was gorgeous! We had so much fun!

A few days after Christmas me and Jimbo (my boyfriend of 45 years) woke up and saw that it was snowing! It was so beautiful! It doesnt snow here so it was pretty exciting!
Now our next order of business: Road to California! We're gettin ready to travel on the 19th to Road to California this week! If any of you bloggers are going to that show, stop by the Innova Booth and say Hi! I love getting recognized by my fans. ;)
Well thats all for this post! I'll also be posting some quilt pictures soon, so watch out for those!
